Text to speech extension for Firefox
A text to speech (TTS) system is the one that converts normal language text into speech.
Jordi Bodera, Liam Buston, Andrew Forknell and Craig Kelly have developed a TTS extension for Mozilla Firefox as our product for the Production Project A module of the Leeds Metropolitan University.
This extension will allow your Mozilla Firefox web browser to speak the selected text of any web page in English.
To develop this product, we have used FreeTTS, which is developed in Java, therefore to run properly the extension you will need the Java Runtime Environtment installed in your machine.
If you want to continue with the development of this software or just try it please send me an e-mail and I will answer you as soon as possible.
The source and binaries will be soon available in sourceforge.net
